Combinatorial Synthesis and Characterization of CuBr <i>x</i> I 1– <i>x</i> Using a Segmented Target Approach for Pulsed Laser Deposition
The growth of the alloy system by employing segmented targets for combinatorial synthesis by pulsed laser deposition is studied. The structural, morphological, optical, and electrical properties of thin films grown on glass and c‐sapphire are presented. For homogeneous thin films a composition range of is prepared using a single radially segmented target. A lateral continuous composition spread material library with is prepared by using a single azimuthally segmented target. The incorporation of Br in CuI allows for a systematic variation in lattice constant and electrical conductivity.
