Implementation of Generative Design Tools in the Construction Process

This paper analyses parametric and generative design as key approaches in modern industrial design. The analysis identified the main advantages of these methods, particularly their ability to optimize shape solutions, reduce material consumption, and shorten product development cycles. The methodology involved an experimental approach in which selected industrial components were designed using generative algorithms in Creo 7 and Rhino 7 with the Grasshopper add-on. The research focused on assessing the benefits of generative design in these software environments for industrial component design. Experimental results demonstrated that generative algorithms enable the creation of lighter yet sufficiently strong structures with greater flexibility compared to traditional methods. The use of generative design led to optimized geometries with reduced weight while maintaining the required mechanical properties. These findings confirm the potential of generative design to improve product development efficiency and suggest opportunities for its broader implementation in industrial practice.
