Osseointegration during total hip replacement in dogs by the Russian V@art system
Total hip replacement in dogs is a surgical procedure in which the joint surfaces are completely replaced, namely the acetabulum component, as well as the head and neck of the thigh. Endoprosthesis can relieve the animal of pain and restore the normal function of the limb. During the period from 01.01.2022 to 31.12.2024, 227 dogs were operated on by the Russian V@art endoprosthesis system. To reduce the complications associated with aseptic instability, the optimal femoral component fixation algorithm was determined to ensure primary osseointegration. The result of this article reflects the advantages of using the V@art system from the Kyon system (Switzerland).
