Antimicrobial peptides of marine microorganisms as a promising object of biotechnology
In the era of progressive antibiotic resistance of pathogenic microorganisms, antimicrobial peptides (AMP) of microorganisms themselves are becoming one of the most interesting and promising objects of research. The world ocean is an inexhaustible source of biologically active substances, diverse in structure and origin, which can become a promising resource for new antibacterial compounds. Modern biotechnologies for the isolation and purification of antimicrobial substances from marine microorganisms have made it possible to isolate a large number of chemically diverse compounds with a wide range of pharmacological effects aimed at pathogenic microorganisms.
