ASIKC Secretary’s Report

The first 3 months of 2025 has been really exciting for the ASI Kerala chapter. A slew of new and unique initiatives in addition to the routine programmes have been the highlight of the past 4 months. Our annual peripheral meet – KASIMOSC 2025 – was organised on the 10th and 11th of February 2024 at Kovalam. The conference had excellent academic and participation form faculty and delegates from all over the state. The academic deliberations were of the highest quality. The scientific content, the hospitality and venue were well appreciated by the faculty and delegates Cricket match – the ASI Kerala Annual Cricket tournament held in the memory of Dr. Madanmohan was conducted this year and Thrichur was the hosts this year. The matches were held on the 5th of April 2025 at Thrichur and 6 teams fought it out over the day with high competitive spirits with true sportsmanship. It was a great day of enjoyment of a different kind and ultimately the winners were the team from Trivandrum Musings – The surgical musings continued over the period on a weekly basis on every Tuesday with interesting topics and interesting speakers from all walks of life The teachers of the future – The competition for the year 202 has begun and 16 teams are participating this year. The first round is over and the subsequent rounds are schedule din he 3rd week of April. The games are tightly fought and the standards maintained by the teams are envious. The finals will be held during KASICON 2025. The election – The election for various posts and selection for vario.us orations have been initiated and the results will be declared during KASICON 2025 Upcoming events. Our annual conference – KASICON 2025 – is planned at Thrichur and the organising team has set the ball rolling for the event.
