Chairman’s Message

Dear Colleagues, It is with great pride and satisfaction that I present to you the latest issue of the official journal of the Association of Surgeons of India, Kerala Chapter. This biannual publication continues to grow in both quality and reach, thanks to the tireless efforts of our editorial team, ably led by Dr. Sulfekar and the enthusiastic support of our contributors and members across the state. Each edition of this journal stands as a testament to the academic vibrancy of our surgical community. It brings to light the clinical acumen, scientific curiosity and spirit of innovation that define the surgeons of Kerala. I am pleased to see the increasing participation from both young and experienced surgeons, whose diverse contributions enrich the discourse and inspire continuous learning. As we celebrate the momentum this journal has gained, we also reaffirm our commitment to the vision laid down by our beloved Prof. Fazil Marickar. His legacy continues to guide us as we uphold the standards of academic integrity, scientific enquiry and mentorship that he so passionately believed in. I urge all our members to remain actively engaged – not just as readers, but as contributors. Let us continue to document our experiences, question the status quo, share our successes and lessons and build a journal that reflects the depth and dynamism of Kerala’s surgical fraternity. Together, let us ensure that this journal remains a proud mirror of our collective progress and a platform that nurtures the next generation of surgical leaders. Warm regards,
