Comparison of Green Power Technologies and Policy Economic Models of Inland Waterway Ships in China

The application of green power technology for inland waterway ships will significantly reduce transportation carbon emissions and promote green economic and social development. In order to promote the application of larger-scale technologies and further reduce carbon emissions, the technology, energy, infrastructure, and regulations were analyzed, the emission model was constructed, and the emissions of a single ship were measured, and the first three types of power technologies were preferentially recommended. According to the model, the larger the tonnage of the ship, the better the economy, and the economy of LNG and methanol-powered ships is the best, followed by pure battery-powered ships and hybrid ships.
