Dynamic study of the hydration status of human body using the polysegment bioimpedance analysis method while simulating extravehicular activity

Abstract A study was conducted using the method of multi-segment bioimpedance analysis to determine the level of hydration of the body and the redistribution of fluids redistribution in body segments in volunteers in prolonged isolation in a hermetic facility (SIRIUS-23 experiment) after modeling lunar landing and extravehicular activity (EVA) according to two different schemes. Higher values of the active electrical resistance of the head region and lower values of the leg regions were found after the EVA, regardless of the wiring scheme. Statistically significant differences were revealed between the two schemes of EVA for the R5 parameters of the left arm and torso (p<0.05). The diagnostic potential of method BIA for monitoring the condition of astronauts during the EVA is shown.
