Research on BBR Fairness in Multiple Scenarios
BBR (Bottleneck Bandwidth and Round-trip time) is a new congestion control protocol. Although it is gradually widely used, there is still competition and unfairness between BBR and congestion control algorithms such as CUBIC and NewReno when transmitting in real link environments. This paper studies the BBR congestion control protocol for complex situations and analyzes the fairness issues in various scenarios through experiments. After experimental analysis, when other network parameters remain unchanged, the factors affecting fairness are mainly related to the size of the router buffer queue. BBR and CUBIC have strong competitiveness under their respective conditions, but NewReno's competitiveness is relatively weak.
