AixTOM - The mfEIT research platform from Aachen
Abstract This paper presents an in-house developed Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) device designed specifically for research applications. It offers fully configurable current injection and voltage measurement patterns, along with up to five simultaneous, adjustable excitation frequencies. The system is built for straightforward expansion in both hardware and software. While not classified as a medical device, it ensures safe human use through galvanic isolation and a hard-wired overcurrent protection mechanism.
