A novel statechart modeling language adapted to R&D automation development : Topic: FA: Factory Automation
This paper focuses on a novel Harel statechart modeling language adapted to automation development in a Research and Development (R&D) environment. R&D facilities are characterized by a large variety of tools and specific needs when it comes to automation deployment. In particular, the fine tool behavioral modeling requested is leading to the need for a specific statechart modeling language (SML). The SML language definition will be detailed. The implementation of the language, and the application of this language during automation development and deployment in an R&D shop floor will be presented and discussed.
