Analysis of Interference Cancellation Performance with Non-Ideality in Radio Frequency Channel

In this paper, we study interference cancellation performance with non-ideality, and reveal the relationship between nonlinear interference and cancellation performance in the receiving link. The interference cancellation system model with nonlinear components is presented, especially for non-cooperative interference. And the suboptimal solution under the minimum mean square error criterion, the closed expression of residual signal and interference cancellation ratio (ICR) are derived. In addition, the influence of incomplete conditions such as different interference amplitude and inconsistent channel gains on the interference cancellation performance of the system is analyzed. Simulation results show that the suboptimal solution is approximately equivalent to Wiener solution. Meanwhile, different interference amplitude and inconsistent channel gains will further worsen the ICR when the output third-order intercept point (OIP3) is relatively low.
