They are confronted with numerous issues in terms of economic support, medical security, and spiritual needs. Against this backdrop, the theory of multi-stakeholder co-governance offers a new approach to addressing the elderly care predicament of rural left-behind elders. Based on this theory, multiple parties jointly participate, aiming to establish an elderly care system guided by the government, optimized by the market, coordinated by society, and fulfilled by families, to collectively tackle the elderly care problems of rural left-behind elders.
