Research on the Issue of Rural Elderly Care under the Background of Population Aging—Taking Gangu County, Tianshui City as an Example

By analyzing the current situation of aging and the service system of the elderly in Gangu County, the core problems such as insufficient supply of the elderly service, lack of facilities, unsound security system and insufficient medical security are revealed. The study further explored the causes of the problem, including unbalanced urban and rural development, low economic level, imperfect policy support and uneven medical resources. Based on these findings, the paper puts forward a series of countermeasures aimed at solving the problem of rural elderly care by establishing and improving the elderly care service system, improving the construction of facilities, strengthening the construction of security system and promoting the equalization of medical services. In addition, the paper also stressed the importance of strengthening filial piety culture education and establishing a reward mechanism to promote social care and support for the elderly. This study provides valuable insights and suggestions for understanding and addressing the challenges posed by aging in rural areas of China.
