An optical testing method for stiffness performance of complex structures in 3D printing
3D printing structures are widely used as important components in industrial fields such as aerospace due to their lightweight, wide range of applications, and high adjustable degrees of freedom. The stiffness performance of their structures directly determines the overall stability of the system during service. However, currently, most of the existing structural stiffness measurement methods are contact measurement, requiring direct contact on the surface of the measured structure, while for 3D printing structures, due to their surface being mostly curved For hollow shapes, traditional methods have problems such as incomplete contact status of measuring points, surface slippage after deformation, and deformation parameters that are only one-dimensional and cannot represent three-dimensional characteristics of the structure, resulting in inaccurate evaluation of structural stiffness performance. Based on optical measurement methods, a stiffness performance measurement and analysis method suitable for 3D printing structures is proposed to accurately measure threedimensional deformation during structural testing, and accurately evaluate the stiffness performance of the structure. Using this method, stiffness measurement verification was carried out on a 3D printing structure of a certain aerospace model, and the stiffness performance of the structure was successfully obtained. The relative fluctuation of multiple measurement results in each direction was less than 8%, effectively verifying the feasibility of this method.
