Aspergillicin I, new depsipeptide from the marine-derived fungal strain Aspergillus uvarum BTBU20212048

A new depsipeptide, aspergillicin I (1), along with ten known compounds, aspergillicin A (2), asterric acid (3), methyl asterric acid (4), sulochrin (5), monomethylsulochrin (6), aloe emodin (7), citreorosein (8), questinol (9), 3-methylemodin (10), and RF-3192C (11), were identified from the solid culture of marine-derived fungal Aspergillus uvarum BTBU20212048 which was isolated from a marine mud sample. The chemical structures of the isolated compounds were determined by 1D, 2D NMR and high-resolution electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (HRESIMS) analysis. Compounds 7 and 10 exhibited inhibitory effect against gram-positive pathogen of S. aureus with minimum inhibitory concentrations of 12.5 and 3.125 μg/mL, respectively.
