Big Data-Driven Analysis of Automotive Carbon Footprints and Forecasting Future Trends
This paper aims to conduct an empirical analysis of the current status of carbon footprints of C-GCAP test vehicles and mainstream passenger vehicles using big data technology. It analyzes the distribution of carbon footprints for three types of powertrain vehicles: gasoline cars, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and battery electric vehicles. The paper posits that with the development of electrification, future vehicle carbon emissions will gradually shift from the fuel cycle to the vehicle cycle. Based on this, a big data-based vehicle carbon footprint prediction model is constructed. By setting different conditional baseline and aggressive scenario impact factors, the paper predicts the carbon footprint situation for the three powertrain types and focuses on analyzing the emission reduction potential of battery electric vehicles.
