Plate fin heat exchanger: research on the construction method of fin equivalent model
Plate-fin heat exchangers have small fin dimensions and thin fin thickness. The complete heat exchanger core consists of thousands of fin cycles, and direct calculation of the original heat exchanger model results in excessively large computational complexity, making it difficult to calculate. In this paper, based on the periodic distribution and multilayer stacking of fins in plate-fin heat exchangers, a single-layer fin model was used to explore the heating and heat transfer characteristics of plate-fin heat exchangers in electro-thermal coupling calculations. An equivalent model that can be used to simplify calculations as a substitute for the original heat exchanger model was constructed.
