A Predictive Model for Dynamic Response of Double Supported Cantilever System
Establishing equivalent dynamic model of a complex system provides a digital analysis method for the dynamic response prediction during the structural conceptual design stage and follow-up performance analysis process. This article applies the finite element method to establish an analytical model for the prediction of the dynamic response of double supported cantilever system. Specifically, the overall mass matrix in the dynamic model consists of the mass matrix of the cantilever beam and the additional mass matrix of the connecting structure, and the overall stiffness matrix includes the stiffness matrix of the beam and the stiffness of the spring. Dynamic characteristics of the system such as modal frequency and frequency response function were derives and its change rule of the total vibration level were analyzed. A double supported cantilever beam test platform was also built to obtain the vibration transmission rates at different measurement points through excitation experiments and the accuracy of the establishing dynamic model was verified. The predictive model uses digital means to achieve qualitative and quantitative analysis of the vibration response of double supported cantilever structures, which greatly improves the efficiency of the structural conceptual design and product performance analysis.
