“We went to the museum in Monaco, to the maritime museum. I’m sending you violets...”: from letters of traveling Russians of the early 20th century
Attribution of open letters from the beginning of the 19th century, sent to recipients in Russia from trips and travels, has been performed. The geography of postcard senders extends from Nice to Novo-Nikolaevsk (Novosibirsk), and recipients - from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. Russian tourists talk about their travel routes, share their impressions, and describe the difficulties and adventures of traveling. Information about the work of the first tourist operators in Russia is provided.
