Global boundedness of a forager-exploiter model with nonlinear tactic sensitivity and logistic source

This paper investigates a forager-exploiter model with nonlinear tactic sensitivity and logistic source terms, which models the population dynamics of foragers, exploiters and prey. This model illustrates the strength of the influence that foragers and exploiters have on the movements of prey and forager populations, respectively. By means of energy estimates and semigroup theory, we primarily prove the global existence of its classical solution that is uniformly bounded in a two-dimensional smooth bounded domain.

Abstract

This paper investigates a forager-exploiter model with nonlinear tactic sensitivity and logistic source terms, which models the population dynamics of foragers, exploiters and prey. This model illustrates the strength of the influence that foragers and exploiters have on the movements of prey and forager populations, respectively. By means of energy estimates and semigroup theory, we primarily prove the global existence of its classical solution that is uniformly bounded in a two-dimensional smooth bounded domain.
