The CHIPS Act and Its Impact on the Semiconductor Industry and Analytical Labs

Abstract One of the lasting legacies of the 2020 COVID-19 crisis was the economic impact, still felt several years after the general recovery. The semiconductor industry as a whole registered some of the greatest restart issues. This article describes the factors that led to the creation of the CHIPS Act and EDFAS’s role in raising awareness of analytical requirements via the Failure Analysis Roadmap.
