Критична медіаграмотність як освітня категорія

The article considers critical media literacy as an important educational category in the modern information society. Its relevance is substantiated in the context of the growth of media content, the spread of disinformation and the need to form in citizens the ability to consciously consume, analyze and evaluate media messages. The essence of the concept of critical media literacy, its key components and connection with other educational disciplines are revealed. Various approaches to integrating the principles of critical media literacy into the educational process at different levels are analyzed. Special attention is paid to practical aspects of the development of critical thinking about the media, including methods of analyzing sources, identifying manipulative techniques and creating one's own media content. The article emphasizes the importance of forming critical media literacy as an integral component of a comprehensively developed personality, able to function effectively in the information space and resist the negative effects of the media.
