A Piebaldism <i>Hipposideros</i><i> armiger</i> Found in Jishou, Hunan Province

2022年7月17日，在湖南省吉首市马颈坳镇米坡村李家寨附近的水牛洞内捕捉到一只斑驳白化的雌性大蹄蝠(Hipposideros armiger)幼仔。用数显式游标卡尺和电子天平对其体型参数进行测量，通过肉眼观察发现，其白化区域的位置较为特殊而分散，主要包括左耳、头颈左侧、部分翼膜及右足趾；其体重、前臂长、耳长等体型参数与该洞内同种其他非白化个体相比，属于正常范围，其行为也正常，因此白化尚未对其生长发育和行为造成影响。To give an account on a piebaldism young female of Hipposideros armiger caught in the Karstic cave of Shuiniu, Majingao Town, Jishou City, Hunan Province on the 17th July, 2022. The external morphological and behaviral characteristics were observed by naked eyes, and the body parameters were measured with digital calipers and electronic balance. Its area of albino is specific and scattered, mainly including the left ear, left lateral of head and neck, a part of wing membranes and the toes of right foot. Its morphological parameters (e.g. body weight, forearm length and ear length, etc.) and behaviors are all normal when compared to other non-albino individuals of same species in the cave. Piebaldism hasn’t affected its growth or behavior yet.
