A Study on the Development, Evolution and Functional Value of Folk Art of Paper-cutting

Paper-cutting is an ancient Chinese folk art and intangible cultural heritage, as well as an important carrier of folk culture.It highlights people's belief in life and spirit of pursuing art in production and labor practice.This article made a textual research on the development course of folk art of paper-cutting, elaborated the artistic features, cultural connotations and aesthetic thoughts of paper-cutting at different times, explored the ritual system function, cultural value and aesthetic value of paper-cutting, had some referential function to the modern fine art and design.
