The Science Of Groundwater Hydrology As Depicted In The Bṛhatsaṁhitā

Groundwater hydrology refers the quality of water under the earth surface. In the Bṛhatsaṁhitā, Varāhamihiraelaborates how underground water can be predicted in the desert and semi desert areaon the basis of different trees, rocks, ant-hills and other objects. Varāhamihira bears abundant methods which are relevant for locating underground water. This paper is an attempt to reflect the methods of exploring underground water.
