Integrating Foreign News Reports into College English Classrooms: A Practical Exploration

This study focuses on the integration of foreign news reports into college English classrooms, aiming to address the disconnection between the course of College English and students' major studies.By clarifying the connotation and teaching positioning of foreign news reports, combining theoretical foundations of language learning and national policy support, this paper explores the role of foreign news reports in expanding knowledge, enhancing abilities, and stimulating motivation.It also proposes principles for selecting foreign news reports used in college English classes, providing practical references for English teaching reform and contributing to the cultivation of inter-disciplinary talents with international vision and solid professional literacy.
