In today's digital and intelligent wave, the breadth and speed of information dissemination has reached a record high, and has a profound impact on the social structure. The Internet, the core of this era, has been transformed from a simple technical tool to a social existence, fully penetrating and reshaping all aspects of human life, from online consumption to remote work, and then to intelligent social services. In the field of higher education, especially in ideological and political education, the in-depth application of the Internet has not only changed the traditional teaching mode, broken the geographical restrictions, but also opened the diversified exploration of educational methodology. However, this change has also brought challenges such as information fragmentation, overload and difficulty to distinguish between true and false, which constitutes a new test to the quality and depth of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. Therefore, it has become an urgent theoretical and practical topic to explore how to reshape the ideological and political education in universities and identify and solve the problems it faces in the digital age.
