Enhancing the Magnetoelectric Response in a Composite Based on Polyvinylidene Fluoride and a Cobalt Ferrite Suspension through the Dispersion of Particles
Results are presented from studying a nanocomposite made of polyvinylidene fluoride and cobalt ferrite nanoparticles coated with oleic acid. It is established that the nanocomposite has low porosity and a highly dispersed distribution of nanoparticles in the polymer matrix. An effect of 24.5 mV/(cm Oe), which is strong for a polymer-based magnetoelectric composite, is observed inside it. This makes the considered material promising for use in biomedical applications as a scaffold for cell stimulation.
