Design and simulation of a front linkage rod in knee prosthesis based on topology optimization
This paper focuses on the optimization design of the front linkage rod in a prosthetic knee joint. Altair Inspire software is used to achieve lightweight design by setting the minimum quality of the front linkage rod as the design target and using relative density as the design variable within a specified physical area. The results show that although there was an increase in the Mises Stress for the optimized mode, it still remained well below the material's yield strength. Furthermore, there was a reduction of approximately 59.3% in prosthesis weight, meeting lightweight design requirements and validating the rationality of topology optimization.
