Stress and Deformation Study of Insulated Joint Assembly and Operation Stages
Natural gas long-distance pipelines often traverse diverse regions and face complex environmental conditions. The combined use of cathodic protection and external anti-corrosion coatings is a critical method for preventing corrosion in natural gas pipelines. As an essential auxiliary component of the cathodic protection system, insulating joints play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of pipelines. This paper employs finite element analysis to study the stress and deformation of insulating joints during assembly and operation phases, revealing the deformation and stress states of insulating joints and sealing rings under various conditions. This study contributes to enhancing the safety and reliability of pipeline engineering.
