Trends and Hotspots in Intelligent Logistics Research: Insights from a Bibliometric Perspective

This study use dataset from the core collection of Web Of Science from 2014 to 2024, to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric on the research of intelligent logistics. This study use visualization tools such as VOSviewer and CiteSpace to identify the key trends, key contributors, and emergent hotspots in the field of intelligent logistics. The research findings reveal that there are three different stages of development in this field: exploratory, stable growth, and rapid expansion. With technological advances in the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, and big data, the number of publications has increased rapidly after 2020. The key themes include last-mile delivery optimization, green logistics, and the integration of machine learning into logistics systems. These findings highlight the significant contribution of the main authors and institutions, and also show the global distribution of research efforts. By drawing evolution diagrams of intelligent logistics, this study provides key insights into intelligent logistics to address sustainability challenges, technology integration, and the future trajectory of supply chain management.
