The Impact of Detonation Drop Angle Control on the Destruction Probability of Suppressive Payloads

In order to enhance the destructive effectiveness of suppression loads, the power field of the combatant is reconstructed based on the ballistic method. In conjunction with the characteristics of suppressed loads, the effect of explosive drop angle control on the damage probability of typical targets is simulated and analysed. Based on the variation of the destruction probability obtained from the simulation, a method for determining the optimal ground aiming parameters of explosive projectiles is proposed, and the optimal fall angle range of a certain type of projectile is given. The findings reveal that the control of the blast fall angle exerts a substantial influence on the probability of destruction of the payload. Under specific conditions of blast height and impact velocity, the destruction probability of the projectile exhibits a significant variation with the drop angle, demonstrating a law of increasing first and then decreasing. Utilising a specific projectile as a case study, it is demonstrated that under conditions of a blast height of 2.5 m and an impact velocity of 600 m/s, the optimal drop angle is approximately 83°, and the probability of achieving heavy or medium-sized destruction of the target medium is 66.39%.
