Cable Fault Simulation Analysis of EWIS Based on ADS
The Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) is widely used in aircraft and plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the aircraft. Due to the extremely complex structure of EWIS, which includes a large number of wires, cables, connectors, and wiring installations and is distributed over a wide space, fault detection becomes an extremely challenging task. However, the Time-Domain Reflectometry (TDR) provides an effective solution for fault detection in EWIS. This paper first conducts a detailed modeling of the EWIS system, and then uses the Advanced Design System (ADS) software for comprehensive simulation. During the simulation process, various characteristics of EWIS and the actual operating environment are fully considered. Finally, an in-depth analysis of the simulation results is carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of TDR for detecting EWIS faults from multiple perspectives. Through the modeling and simulation of EWIS, we can better understand its working principle and fault modes, providing strong support for actual fault detection and maintenance.
