AgriPlace: A Fair Pricing Regulated E-Marketplace for Agricultural Commodities

E-marketplace is a digital solution and innovation that is integrated with technology to solve buy and sell-related problems. Capabilities such as product listing and buying negotiation using a digital platform ensure smooth transactions in trading commodities and payment; however, reasonable pricing was not well-thought-out. This paper developed an application that includes the government body that regulates the suggested retail price of agricultural commodities to prevent underpricing and overpricing. The web application allows the administrator to provide and monitor suggested retail price (SRP), while the mobile application is where the transaction occurs. The sellers were prevented from pricing an item more than its SRP; thus, buyers can view it along with the commodity to find a good deal on a product. AgriPlace was rated 72.28 or Good using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The evaluation shows that users like to use the application frequently, with a mean score of 4.14. The respondents also disagreed that the application is user-friendly, not difficult to use, and requires technical support. The result shows that respondents, even the small vendors, encounter minimal to no challenges in using the application.
