E-business Success on Manufacturing Business Performance: Empirical Evidence From Indonesia

Previous research has found that e-business success can impact organizational effectiveness. However, little study has been conducted to determine the impact of e-business success on organizational performance. As a result, the purpose of this study is to encourage manufacturing companies in developing nations to adopt successful electronic businesses. This study divides e-business success into two categories: e-business service capabilities and IT-supported collaborative excellence. This study surveyed 164 manufacturing enterprises that have implemented e-business in the form of their own platform or peer-to-peer (collaboration with service providers). The findings of this study show that e-business service capacity incorporating B2B services in manufacturing organizations improves business performance. Other findings from this study reveal that strategic collaborative manufacturing businesses utilizing e-business can gain a competitive edge in the company's supply chain, which has a favorable and significant impact on business performance.
