Developement of 2,4GHz Microstrip Patch Antenna for WLAN, 4G and 5G Network using HFSS
This paper presents design of rectangular patch antenna. The antenna for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) application, has a resonant frequency of 2.4 GHz. There are lots of antenna forms available, though we're concentrating on a rectangular antenna design, and this antenna is designed so it supports the above resonant frequency. This frequency selection resolves antenna choice for WLAN network. According to IEEE 802.11 standards, the WLAN operating frequency range of the antenna designed. The microstrip antenna was chosen as the antenna design because it has simple geometry, is light-weight, low production cost, and small size. HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) was chosen as an appropriate tool for use during antenna design and subsequently the required measurements were taken. This antenna is built on an FR-4 substrate with a relative permittivity of 4.4, and a height of h = 1.6 mm. The small size of this antenna is 60 mm x 60 mm x 1.6 mm. The results obtained during this simulation are as follows: 2.4011 GHz resonant frequency and reflection coefficient (S(1,1)) -31.766 dB, 67 MHz bandwidth, 3.13 dB gain, 6.29 dB directivity, and 20.91 dB electric field radiation (rE). The antenna results this study delivers outperform other published antennas in scientific literature. This antenna meets the necessary requirements for fourth-generation use.
