Performance Optimization and Dynamic Control of Induction Motors with Terminal Sliding Mode Control of Higher Order
Terminal sliding mode control of higher order (TSOSMC) is a robust nonlinear control approach. It enables rapid convergence to a desired trajectory while ensuring increased accuracy and resistance to disturbances and uncertainties. Unlike traditional sliding modes, this strategy guarantees finite-time convergence through the use of a terminal surface defined by nonlinear differential equations. This study explores the advantages of TSOSMC in dynamic systems, particularly in the speed and flux regulation of asynchronous electric machines. Terminal control enhances system dynamics while reducing chattering oscillations. Simulations using MATLAB/SIMULINK demonstrate the effectiveness of this control in terms of robustness, stability, and reduced response time.
