Digital Payment: The Antecedents of QRIS Usage among Gen Z

The use of QRIS digital payments in Indonesia has increased significantly every year. Bank Indonesia noted that the majority of QRIS users in Jakarta are Generation Z. However, there is still a lack of in-depth explanation of the factors that influence the increase in QRIS use. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the actual use of QRIS through behavioral intention to use in generation Z in Jakarta. The research method used is a quantitative research type with an associative approach through the distribution of online questionnaires using a Likert scale to 210 respondents in Jakarta. The results of the data obtained were analyzed using PLS-SEM techniques with SmartPLS software. The results of this study indicate that Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Security have a significant effect on Behavioral Intention. While Social Influence and Hedonic Motivation do not have a significant effect on Behavioral Intention. Then Behavioral Intention has a significant positive effect on Actual Use of QRIS. The implications of this study provide insightful results and can optimize strategies on the benefits, ease of use, and security standards that can encourage user trust to continue using QRIS and increase the interest of new users.
