Performance Evaluation of Particle Swarm Optimization and JAYA Algorithms in Estimating Electrical Parameters for Photovoltaic Cell Models: A Comprehensive Comparative Study
This work presents a comparison between two widely used algorithms in the estimation of electrical parameters for photovoltaic cell models. The study focuses on evaluating the performance of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm and the JAYA algorithm. Both algorithms were assessed for extracting parameters from the double-diode model of an RTC France solar cell. Integration of an analytical procedure was implemented to constrain the search space and reduce its dimensions. The study encompasses statistical, convergence, and precision analyses. The analysis of the results generally demonstrates the superiority of PSO over JAYA.
