The Role of AI Experience and Satisfaction in Reducing Technostress in the Workplace: Managing the Digital Dilemma among Indonesian Employees
This study examines how AI-based satisfaction mediates the relationship between AI experience, technostress in the workplace, and AI satisfaction. The study explores how AI integration affects employee well-being and stress in Greater Jakarta workplaces. A quantitative research design used cross-sectional data from Greater Jakarta employees from various sectors. Analysis and hypothesis testing were done using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). AI experience positively affects AI-based satisfaction and negatively affects technostress, with AI-based satisfaction as a significant mediator. The findings emphasize the importance of AI experience and satisfaction in reducing technostress and improving employee well-being. Cross-sectional studies limit causal inferences, and data from one location may limit generalizability. Future studies should use longitudinal designs, examine other technostress factors, and include diverse cultural and organizational contexts. Organisations should improve AI user experience and satisfaction by providing user-friendly interfaces, training, and support. Technostress can be reduced, and employee engagement can be increased with this approach. There is limited research on the mediating role of AI-based satisfaction in the relationship between AI experience and technostress. This study provides new insights. Organisations can improve AI integration strategies with its thorough approach framework.
