Solutions for Over Loading Transformer in an Electrical System

This paper investigates the potential of an infinite generation system to accommodate the domestic load growth of the 33 kV loop network from 2025 to 2040 year. The study evaluates the current condition of the network, focusing on voltage levels, line loadings, and transformer capacities. That let us to ensure all components operate within the system's permissible loading limits. A numerical model is developed using the Gauss-Seidel method and executed on the PSS/E simulator and ETAP software. The voltage profile must be stay within the range of 0.95 to 1.05 per unit. An analysis of the simulation results will highlight the potential to enhance active power transfer and manage reactive power in the system by the year 2040. Additionally, we propose solutions to address the identified critical issues to meet the projected demand. These solutions are reducing the power losses and improve the voltage profile and involve doubling the power capacity of the existing transformers. And at the second time providing protection against short-circuit currents. The proposed system will provide industrial consumers with reduced load imbalances and enhanced control over voltage fluctuations caused by rapid changes in reactive power demand.
