Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Evaluation and Prediction of the Stability of Civil Engineering Structures: Case Study of the Iminifri Natural Bridge, Demnate, Morocco
This study applies artificial neural networks (ANNs) to predict the deformation of the Iminifri natural bridge in Demnate, Morocco. Using real-world data for compressive strength (RC), cohesion, and Young's modulus as inputs, and deformation (in meters) as the output, we employed a Monte Carlo simulation with 1000 iterations (70% training, 15% validation, 15% testing). The resulting ANN model achieved a mean squared error of 0.0239 and a regression coefficient of 0.999, indicating high accuracy. The study concludes with a discussion of the findings, limitations, and potential future research directions.
