A Beer Freshness Detector for Opened-Can Beer Drink Safety Applications
A beer freshness detector for opened-can beer drink safety applications is proposed in this work originally. A beer sensor and a converter are combined together. The beer freshness can be converted into output duty cycle by the proposed detector linearly. Though the output, beer freshness could be obtained rapidly and easily. Moreover, in order to be used in different conditions of beer freshness, the proposed converter with wide input range of single-end circuit architecture was designed. The measured input single-end voltage was from 0.1 to 2.3 V, the output duty cycle was corresponding from 14.91 to 97.44 %. The sensitivity was 37.51 %/V. The measured beer standing time was 1 to 3 hours, the output duty cycle was 93.27 to 43.05 %. A 0.354 % of the maximum linear error was measured. In the end, two kinds of different beer solutions were successfully experimented. Through all the results, the proposed beer freshness detector was proven functionally for opened-can beer drink safety applications.
