La transformación especular de la teología en el encuentro con el cristianismo
Beyond the obvious connections established between Christian thinkers such as Scotus Eriugena or Nicholas of Cusa and lines of thought present in our tradition such as idealism or hermeneutics, we have tried to show how the understanding of philosophy itself is influenced by Christian theology from its very beginning. Confidence in reason and its ability to interpret religious texts and rituals, from a unified truth, is typically Christian. And, once it emerges, it becomes the inspiration for pagan philosophy itself. The enormous potencial for social cohesion implied by this alliance between faith and reason, where intellectuals and philosophers are no strangers to the faith of the people, transfomrs the socio-political and intelectual landscape.
