Physico‐Chemical Characterization and Antilaryngeal Cancer Effects of the Silver Nanoparticles Green‐Mediated by <scp><i>Malva parviflora</i></scp> L. Extract

ABSTRACT In the present research, the silver nanoparticles formulation was elucidated in accordance with the principles of green chemistry, utilizing Malva parviflora L. as the biological agent. The formulated Ag NPs were characterized by UV–Vis, FE‐SEM, EDS, FT‐IR, and TEM. The shape, morphology, and elemental composition of the mediated nanoparticles were analyzed using FE‐SEM and EDS techniques. The TEM image illustrates the monodispersed spherical nanoparticles presence, with sizes varying between 20 and 40 nm. Then, the antilaryngeal cancer effects of Ag NPs by following the viability percentage were determined. The Ag NPs–treated cells were appraised by the MTT method on HUVEC and SNU‐46, TU212, and HEp‐2 laryngeal cancer cell lines. The IC 50 of Ag NPs was 103, 96, and 111 μg/mL on SNU‐46, TU212, and HEp‐2 cancer cells, respectively. The SNU‐46, TU212, and HEp‐2 laryngeal cancer cells indicated near IC 50 when they were treated by Ag NPs. Pursuant to recent data, silver nanoparticles may be a useful option to support the laryngeal cancer treatment.
