Improving Mathematical Problem Solving Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) Type Cooperative Learning Model
This study aims to describe the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model in mathematics learning to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of class VIIIA students of SMP Negeri 3 Numfor Barat. The method of collecting learning activity data is carried out by observation and improving mathematical problem-solving abilities through assessment. The approach used for data analysis is comparative analysis, namely the events that occur are compared and then detailed as assessment data represented by values. From this percentage, the tendency of teacher behavior and responses will be described along with student learning outcomes. Data analysis shows that in the initial test of mathematics, the average score of the initial test and test 1 were each 68.50 with the number of students who completed learning as much as 60%. In test 2 cycle I the average score increased to 72.25 and the percentage of students who completed learning increased to 65%. In test 3 cycle II the average score increased to 79 with the percentage of students who completed learning reaching 95%. In cycle II of the ability to conclude test, the average score increased to 85.50 and the percentage of students who completed learning reached 95%. Based on the established performance indicators, the improvement of mathematical problem-solving ability is considered complete if 85% of students get a score of 75 or more. Through the application of the STAD method to improve mathematical problem-solving ability on the system of linear equations of two variables , there was a significant increase, indicating that most students had completed their studies.
