The relationship between organizational justice and organizational commitment in educational organizations: a meta-analysis study

In this study, the relationship between organizational justice and organizational commitment in educational organizations was examined using the meta-analysis method. A total of 10 studies, measuring the relationship between organizational justice and organizational commitment and involving sample groups of teachers in Turkey, were analyzed. According to the meta-analysis results, the overall effect size of the relationship between organizational justice and organizational commitment was found to be significantly positive. This finding indicates that organizational justice is a crucial factor in enhancing employees' commitment to their organizations. The study considered gender, school level, study type, and study period (pre- and post-COVID-19 pandemic) as moderator variables. The results of the moderator analyses revealed that gender is a significant source of heterogeneity. Specifically, the relationship between organizational justice and organizational commitment was weaker among female teachers compared to their male counterparts. However, no significant moderator effects were identified for school level, study type, or study period.
