Exploring AI-Based Digital Innovation in Traditional Stone Carving Art
Traditional stone carving art is currently facing substantial challenges, including high production costs, low creative efficiency, and a severe decline in skilled artisans, necessitating an urgent transition toward digitalization. This study, grounded in empirical exploration, employs dental emotion sculptures as an experimental model to investigate the feasibility of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologiesspecifically ChatGPT and Midjourney-into sculptural emotional expression. The findings demonstrate that AI-driven methodologies significantly enhance creative efficiency, optimize design precision, and enable the accurate articulation of complex emotional narratives within sculptural forms.Future research will focus on the adaptive application of this AI-assisted workflow to traditional Minnan stone carving, a heritage-rich artistic practice, aiming to facilitate digital innovation, technological augmentation, and sustainable industrial development within the domain of architectural and sculptural heritage.
