Effects of the US Agricultural Subsidy Policies on the Bilateral Trade Patterns of U.S.-China Pork Trade
Animal husbandry is an important part of national agriculture and an important basis for the long-term development of the primary industry.China's animal husbandry support policies have been increasing year by year, but due to the late start, there are still deficiencies in many aspects, such as the overall low level of support, the single way of support, and the relatively narrow coverage.Developed countries such as Europe and the United States give more support to animal husbandry in the construction of laws and regulations, sound and perfect animal husbandry regulations is a big boost to the development of animal husbandry. As the largest meat producing country in the world, the United States has a comprehensive guarantee in the production process of livestock products from feeding, quarantine, processing, packaging and transportation. The scientific, systematic and perfect support system thus formed is undoubtedly worthy of our learning and research. This paper analyses the production, trade and retrospective policies of the pork industry in China and the United States over the past five years by comparing the differences in livestock support policies between the two countries and proposing the advantages of U.S. livestock policies to provide some reference and improvement measures in the process of pork industry development.
